Two Denver Companies Join Forces to Support Local “Period Kits” Nonprofit in February
Denver, February 2021: Ship Sunshine and Roberta’s Chocolates, Candies and Nuts, two Denver companies, are joining together this February to support a local non-profit organization, Period Kits.
Ship Sunshine has partnered with Roberta’s Chocolates and used their treats in its custom gift boxes for years, and the two companies wanted to collaborate this February to show a little love to a local charity. Period Kits, a non-profit that collects and provides sanitary supplies, was a perfect fit for these female-led companies, as both founders were taken by its mission to help women in need.
“What really struck me about Period Kits is the founder’s story about how she was homeless and had to choose between buying food or buying necessary hygienic supplies. No one should have to make that choice,” says Anna Costello, founder of Ship Sunshine. “And, trying to giving back and spread a little sunshine is at the core of my business, so I’m proud to partner with this local nonprofit.”
Ship Sunshine and Roberta’s Chocolates are looking to raise funds, supplies and awareness for Period Kits with a total goal of $3,000. People can donate to the cause by visiting shipsunshine.com and “donating a box of sunshine” in the shopping cart. 100% of the donation goes directly to Period Kits. Or, visit Roberta’s at 4022 Tennyson Street in Denver and donate money or drop off sanitary supplies. For every dollar donated, both Ship Sunshine and Roberta’s will match it up to $1,000, effectively tripling your donation.
