The Alliance Center’s Best for Colorado initiative honored Ship Sunshine as “Inspirational Leader” at the 2nd annual award ceremony on June 6th, 2019. Colorado Governor Jared Polis was there to celebrate with the winners and give a speech about the impact of the Colorado business community.
“In my first year of business– if I had to pick an accolade, this would be it,” said Anna Costello, founder of Ship Sunshine. “One of the reasons I started my own business is because you get to insert your own values into it. Being named as an ‘Inspirational Leader’ helps me keep focused and motivated. My hope is that I will continue to connect with and learn from other local, purpose-driven businesses.”
Since 2018, The Alliance Center has run the Best for Colorado initiative, which invites all Colorado companies to measure and improve their social and environmental impact, regardless of where they are on their corporate social responsibility journey.
“The Best for Colorado team and The Alliance Center are both such a gift to the Colorado community,” said Costello. “They are advocating for consumers and businesses and helping businesses connect and navigate important and impactful areas to benefit everyone.”
